Happy President's Day everyone. Just a quick note to say that we are in the process of putting together our first monthly newsletter. Hopefully in a few weeks we'll have it together and get it out. There will be some special features, interviews with our artists, some awesome marketing tips and other good stuff!

IUSA 2009

Good morning and Happy Martin Luther King day! It seems fitting that this commemoration should occur one day before the first Afro-American is sworn in as our president. There is much riding on his sucess and we wish him our most sincerely wishes for the best of luck in everything he does. I would like to once again extend my best wished and thanks to all of you who stopped by and said hello last week during the PPA's IUSA 2009 out in Phoenix at the Convention Center. It was a great event and we hope it is the beginning of a most prosperous year for the industry. Back home on Long island, we will be doing all we can to both produce and secure great new indie music to make your productions sound as good as they look. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's been a while...

since we've updated the news around here. We didn't mean to go incommunicado, but we've been spending most of our time producing and researching new music to offer. We were also out of town at both IUSA and WPPI meeting the professional photographers from around the world. It's been a wild busy year! But that's no excuse for not staying in touch (didn't my mother say that once? ) So with that thought in mind, as we move forward we promise to fill you in on what's happening with BROKEN JOEY RECORDS as it happens. Right now we are updating the site and looking for new music that fills the needs of professional photographers and videographers. That means CHRISTIAN POP AND ROCK. We are looking into bringing LATIN flavored tracks into the mix as well and also HARDER ROCK for Graduation purposes. We invite YOU to send us your suggestions for the sorts of music you'd like to see made available and we'll do our best to satisfy your need. After a busy autumn, and then all of the holiday hoopla, we have finally written and recorded a new tune with ELYSE. It's called OUR MOMENT and we think it's going to be a romantic pop hit! It will appear in the NEW RELEASES section of the site any MOMENT now.

ELYSE Collaborates with Brokaw-Refano

Artist ELYSE is working with Brokaw-Refano on three new songs which we hope will be recorded somnetime in October. The songs are in the contemporary POP/TOP 40 and R&B genres. "It's exciting being able to work with such a vibrant and evolving artist" says Brokaw of the joint effort. Refano chimes in, "One of the songs is a powerful love ballad that I think has the potential to be a very popular wedding song. We're looking forward to working with ELYSE on this project."

At the time this site was being built, we were listening to artists across the musical spectrum from RAP to ALT ROCK to POP, COUNTRY and BLUES...searching for things that caught our ears.
